Service Description

EgyptTourGuide is a digital platform that facilitates connections between licensed tour guides and travelers. Our platform provides:

Guide Listings: A platform for verified, licensed tour guides to showcase their services, expertise, and tours
Tour Discovery: A marketplace where travelers can discover and book authentic cultural experiences
Booking Facilitation: A secure booking system that connects guides and tourists

Platform Nature: We are not a travel agency, but a facilitator providing a digital space for listings and bookings. We act as an intermediary between guides and travelers.

User Accounts

Account Creation Requirements

Accurate Information: Guides must provide accurate and truthful information when creating their profiles, including identity documents, license numbers, and professional credentials
Account Security: Users are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their accounts, passwords, and login credentials
Account Activity: You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account
User Verification: Guides must undergo document verification and KYC (Know Your Customer) processes to ensure authenticity

Account Restrictions

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account
One user can only create one account (no duplicate accounts)
Providing false information may result in immediate account suspension

Payments & Fees

Commission Structure

Service Fee: EgyptTourGuide collects a 5% commission from each successful booking
Transparent Pricing: All pricing is displayed clearly, and guides receive the remaining amount after commission
Payment Methods: Payments between guides and travelers are handled through approved payment methods on our platform

Payment Terms

All prices are listed in the base currency specified by the guide (typically USD, EUR, or EGP)
EgyptTourGuide is not responsible for currency conversion rates or third-party payment processor fees
Guides will receive payment after successful completion of the tour, minus the service commission
Refund policies are subject to individual tour cancellation policies

Content & Intellectual Property

User Content Rights

Guide Ownership: Guides retain ownership of their content (photos, descriptions, tour itineraries) but grant EgyptTourGuide a license to display it on the platform
Platform License: By uploading content, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, display, and distribute your content on the platform
Content Removal: You retain the right to request removal of your content, which we will process within reasonable time

Restrictions

No Unauthorized Copying: Copying or using platform content without permission is strictly prohibited
Platform Branding: The EgyptTourGuide name, logo, and platform design are protected intellectual property
User-Generated Content: Users must not upload content that infringes on copyrights, trademarks, or third-party rights
Prohibited Content: Users must not upload offensive, illegal, or misleading content

Liability Disclaimer

Platform Liability

EgyptTourGuide acts only as a platform provider. We are not responsible for:

Disputes between guides and travelers regarding tour quality, scheduling, or services
Cancellations, delays, or changes to tour schedules
Service quality, guide professionalism, or traveler satisfaction
Travel insurance, health, safety, or personal injury matters
Property damage, lost items, or liability claims

User Responsibility

Users are responsible for:

Verifying guide credentials and qualifications before booking
Communicating directly with guides regarding tour details, expectations, and requirements
Obtaining appropriate travel insurance for tours and activities
Adhering to local laws, regulations, and safety guidelines during tours

Important: While we verify guide credentials and licenses, it is ultimately the traveler's responsibility to ensure the guide's services meet their needs.

Termination

EgyptTourGuide reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. Grounds for termination include, but are not limited to:

Violation of Terms: Breaching any provision of these Terms of Service
Fraudulent Activity: Providing false information, attempting fraud, or engaging in deceptive practices
Illegal Conduct: Using the platform for illegal purposes or activities
Abuse or Harassment: Harassing, threatening, or abusing other users
Content Violations: Uploading inappropriate, offensive, or copyrighted content
Multiple Complaints: Receiving consistent complaints about service quality or professionalism

Consequences: If your account is terminated, you may lose access to your profile, tours, bookings, and any pending payments. EgyptTourGuide reserves the right to permanently ban repeat offenders.

Governing Law

This agreement is governed by the laws of the Arab Republic of Egypt. Any disputes, claims, or legal proceedings arising from or relating to these Terms of Service or your use of the platform shall be resolved in accordance with Egyptian law.

Dispute Resolution

Users are encouraged to resolve disputes directly with guides before escalating to platform support
EgyptTourGuide offers customer support to mediate disputes when necessary
For legal disputes, jurisdiction lies with the competent Egyptian courts

Changes to Terms

EgyptTourGuide reserves the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time. When we make changes, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the bottom of this page. Continued use of the platform after changes constitute acceptance of the updated terms.
